Justin's love for whiskey began when a good friend of his introduced him to Crown Royal. It blossomed when he attended the Kentucky Derby in 2005, partaking in his first mint julep and touring the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Even though he is partial to his favorite - Woodford Reserve - he appreciates many different types of whiskeys and bourbons. Why are you giving advice on Whiskey Watch? I’m giving advice on Whiskey Watch because I enjoy have a nice glass of whiskey. It helps me wind down after a particularly difficult day. Plus, I like the challenge of finding a new whiskey to add to my collection. What is your favorite Whiskey? My favorite whiskey is Woodford Reserve. My wife was kind enough to purchase me a collector’s bottle for my birthday last year! Where does your passion for Whiskey come from? My passion for whiskey actually started at the Kentucky Derby in the early 2000s. I would go with a group of friends and we would visit various distilleries. I was able to try some of the best bourbons and whiskeys in the world and have been passionate about it ever since. If you could give people a word of advice regarding Whiskey, what would it be? Take your time and find one you like. Not everyone is going to enjoy the same whiskey. Don’t be afraid to try something new.
